Graskop Gorge Lift

Just outside Graskop on the R533, the Graskop Gorge Lift Company sits where the Lowveld escarpment plunges into a forested gorge on the Panorama Route. Its glass-fronted viewing elevator drops 51 metres down the cliff face to a network of forest boardwalks, linked across the gorge by a 52-metre suspension bridge — an easy, family-friendly way into indigenous Afromontane forest.

For the adrenaline set, the Big Swing launches you on a 70-metre freefall reaching speeds of up to 140 km/h before arcing across the gorge, and a two-way zip-line runs on roughly 120-metre cables about 130 metres above the gorge floor. The site overlooks the Motitsi Waterfall.
