God's Window

God's Window is one of the Panorama Route's signature lookouts, set on the edge of the Drakensberg escarpment near Graskop and reached via the R532 and R534. From the cliff edge the escarpment plunges roughly 700 metres to the Lowveld plains, and on a clear day the view stretches east across the Lowveld and the Kruger National Park toward the Lebombo Mountains on the border with Mozambique.

A short trail and boardwalk climb through a pocket of mist-belt (Afromontane) rainforest to reach the fenced upper viewing platforms. Though it lies within the greater Blyde River Canyon area, it is a distinct escarpment lookout, separate from the canyon's Three Rondavels viewpoint.
